A Discovery Flight, also known as an Introductory Flight, is an opportunity for individuals who are interested in aviation to experience flying firsthand. What to expect
Pre-Flight Briefing
Before the flight, you’ll have a briefing with a certified flight instructor (CFI). They will explain the basics of the aircraft, safety procedures, and what to expect during the flight.
Aircraft Inspection
You may get the chance to participate in a pre-flight inspection of the aircraft, where the instructor will show you how to check the plane for any issues or concerns.
Flight Experience
The instructor manages takeoff and landing, you’ll be encouraged to take the controls during the flight, experiencing maneuvers like turns and climbs firsthand, gaining insight into piloting.
Mid-Flight Navigation
During the flight, your instructor may demonstrate basic navigation techniques, such as identifying landmarks, following visual cues, or using navigational instruments.
Scenic Flight
Explore the beautiful landscape of Northern America, enjoy a scenic tour of the area from the air. This can be a great way to appreciate the beauty of flight and the perspective it offers.
Post-Flight Debrief
After the flight, you’ll have a debriefing with the instructor to discuss your experience, answer any questions you may have, and provide feedback on your performance during the flight.
